Terms of Use

By accessing or using The Mission to Seafarers Canada fundraising platform ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

The Mission to Seafarers Canada ("we," "us," or "our") reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Your continued use of the Platform following any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

To create a fundraising page, you must register for an account and be approved as a fundraiser. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information during registration
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Use the Platform only for lawful purposes in support of The Mission to Seafarers Canada
• Not create misleading or fraudulent fundraising campaigns
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms or engages in fraudulent activity.

All donations made through the Platform are processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. By making a donation, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.

• All donations go directly to The Mission to Seafarers Canada (Charity No.: 734345689RR0001)
• Tax receipts are issued for donations of $20 or more
• Donations are generally non-refundable unless made in error
• We do not store complete credit card information on our servers

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We are committed to protecting your personal information and complying with applicable privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

By using the Platform, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Mission to Seafarers Canada shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.

We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We are not responsible for any loss of data or unauthorized access to your account.

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
